எனது தார்மீக ஆதரவும் இங்கே.
தமிழகத்தில் 1980களில் இருந்த எழுச்சி மீண்டும் ஏற்பட்டால் உலக நாடுகள் புலிகளின் மீது உரசிப்பார்க்க கொஞ்சம் தயங்குவார்கள். அதனை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்ல யாரும் இல்லயே.
புலிகளை ஆதரிக்கவில்லையென்றாலும், இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக ஒரு போராட்டம், கடையடைப்பு தமிழக அரசு நடத்தலாம்.
புலிகள் தமிழ்நாட்டுத் தமிழர்களின் ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் இலக்கை அடைவது சிரமமானதே.
சோற்றால் அடைத்த பிண்டம் டில்லியில் பதவி வாங்குவதில் காட்டும் வேகம் தமிழன் கொல்லப்படுவதைக் கண்டிப்பதில் காட்டுவதில்லை.
நேற்று கொழுவி அவர்களின் பதிவில் கொன்று தூக்கிலிடப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளைப் பார்த்த பின்னும் அமைதியாக இருக்க முடியவில்லை.
இங்கு திட்டமிட்டு இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களை மறக்க வைக்கும் முயற்சி ஆங்கில ஊடகங்களால் நடக்கிறது. ஹிந்து என்ற ஆங்கில ஊடகம் அதில் முன்னிலையில் இருக்கிறது. அதற்கு இந்திய அரசு, இலங்கை அரசு என்ற இரு முனைகளில் இருந்து ஆதரவும் பணமும் கிடைக்கிறது.
விடுதலைப் புலிகளை ஆதரிக்காமல், இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களை ஆதரித்து கொழுவி அவர்கள் பதிவில் போட்ட படங்களை நம் தமிழ் ஊடகங்கள் வெளியிட்டால் தமிழக கிராமங்களில் இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவு கிடைக்கும். இவைகளை யார் முன்னெடுதுச் செய்வது?
தமிழனின் போராட்ட குணம் குறைந்து விட்டது உண்மைதான்.

தங்களது கவிதை மிகவும் வசதியாக கழிவிரக்கத்தில் அடைக்கலம் புகுந்து, குற்றவுணர்வை சொறிந்து விடுவதாக, மிகவும் அருவெறுப்பாக உணர்கிறேன்.
வார்த்தைகள் கடுமையாக இருந்தால் மன்னிக்கவும்.
எனது கருத்துக்களில் தவறுகள் இருந்தால் திருத்தவும்.
இங்கு ராஜீவ் மரணத்தை ஒட்டி மக்கள் கலை இலக்கிய கழகத்தின்- மருதையன் எழுதிய உரைவீச்சை நியாபகப்படுத்த விரும்புகிறேன்.
அதில், தமிழகத்தின் அமைதியை(அமைதிப் பூங்கா என்று பெயர் பெற்றதல்லவா நமது மண்) தீக்கொழுத்த ஒரு நெருப்போறி வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டு முடித்திருப்பார்.
அது போன்ற சூழ்நிலைக்கு தேவையான உணர்வை தூண்டும் கவிதைகள்தான் நன்றாக இருக்கும்.
மற்றவை இழவு வீட்டில் இன்னிசை கச்சேரியாக, மிக அபத்தமாக அருவெறுப்பாக இருக்கும்.
விமர்சனத்தின் நோக்கம் நட்பு முரன்பாடுதானன்றி வேறல்ல. சம தளத்தில் நின்று பரிசீலிக்கவும்.

I am afraid, you forgot one clear distinction between us and them. They are tamil speaking srilankans and we are tamil speaking Indians.
Our constitution provides security blanket for Indians not for srilankans. If you want to confuse nationality based on secular priniciples with linguistic (read opportunistic) nationality like Dr. Ramadoss, it is your prerogarative.
Do not blame tax paying Indians for not taking care of srilankans. They do no have to. We can accomodate them as long they are not nuisances.
I sympathasize with srilankan tamils for their cause. However, I do not think it is India's problem. It is their internal problem, they should take care of themselves

A section of Indian Tamils are still expecting the Indian government to help the tamils in Srilanka. Why? To me it is very simple, they are tamils. I feel that we share the same culture/tradition.
If India can send the army to support E.Pakistan & help Mujibur, If India can support Srilanka in thier fight against JVP, If India can support tiny islands in Indian Ocean against coup attempts - why not they support the tamils in srilanka??
Atleast the Indian govt can issue a stern warning to the srilankan govt.

Sri Lankan Tamils are NOT asking for protection from India.
They have their own protectors, the LTTE.
What we are asking for is to recognise the legitimate liberation struggle of the Tamils in Tamil eelam and recognise our right to protect our selves.
Even though India is publicly silent, it is silently providing financial and technical assistance to the Sri Lankan government. Its intelligence agency RAW is arming and controlling paramilitary out fits in the south Tamil Eelam.
All what we ask is recognise our legitimate struggle as you have done in Palestine, Bangkladesh and South Africa, and provide recognition based on humanitarian considerations as a minimum.

Thats counterproductive argument. The same kashmiri muslims (a small number) are also expecting the pakistani govt to liberate them from Indian govt's atrocities!!!

Indian govt is not obligated and should not support any struggle anywhere in the world. The only reason we support the Mujibur rehman in Bangladesh is for our national security. To deal with our enemy on both sides of the country was unacceptable (no other country has such trouble).
Also, the Indian govt should do business with other govts not with ragtag armed groups in other countries. Indian govt should always put its citizens and its country's progress far ahead of anyother issue.
Thats why we should not support the LTTE, Palestinian liberation army and so on an so forth. India has 100 crores people with different ethnic and linguistic groups. If everyone wants to support political movements around the world based on their identitites, our country will dissappear in less than a year.
This explains why India supported srilankan govt and not the JVP. Any vicotry in terms of separate nation for srilankan tamils will give false ideas for the dravidian separatists movement in TN.
As an Indian, I believe in our "Unity in Diversity" motto of our country. For a small fraction of Indian tamils, having a separate country that includes elam ann TN is a dream. As Indians, we should thwart those nightmarish dream.

This is an argument designed to digress the issue at hand. No one with his right mind will say that srilankan tamils should be killed for India's security. When LTTE and its anti democratic attitudes turned against India, We need to put a full stop for any kind of support for those groups.
I said, we should always empathasize and extend moral support for srilankan tamils for their just cause demanding equal rights and dignified existence. But at no point we should encourage them to take up arms. After all it was Gandhi's non-violent struggle that got us freedom and not subasch chandra bose's tactics.
